Grace Livingston Hill

Grace Livingston Hill (1865-1947) wrote and published hundreds of short stories and novels, usually featuring a strong, young Christian woman. Raised in a Presbyterian home, Hill saw life clearly in terms of good and evil, and emphasized the need for Christ's reconciliation after the intrusion of infidelity, rebellion or hard-heartedness. One of the earliest and most prolific "Christian romance" novelists, she spoke at Wheaton College in 1936.
